A definite trophy for any game fisherman or diver who has encountered the power and awe of the great barracuda. Wow your friends with this notorious game fighter on your games-room wall, amongst your other trophies and photographs or above the mantle-piece. From US$210.00 / GB£106.00 / EU€134.00 Interesting background information: Barracuda, commonly known as the great barracuda, inhabit nearly all warm seas and are found in the tropical regions of the Indo-Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Adult barracudas live in and around the edges of coral reefs and prefer clear warm water. The barracuda is a long silvery fish with two widely separate dorsal fins, they have large scales, a pointed head, a large mouth and famously long knife-like teeth. They have a narrow head-on profile and silvery color which reduces their visibility to prey. They are a grayish-brown above and silvery below and often have dark ink-like spots on their sides. They can reach up to 2 meters in length and can weigh in at around 40kg (88lbs). The barracuda is infamously known to be quite a vicious fish with fishermen, divers and snorkellers reporting attacks. These attacks are unrelated to their eating habits - barracuda eat other fish for which they use a combination of a sit-in-wait ambush and active predator style hunting. Although few people eat barracuda meat and it is illegal to sell great barracuda meat in the United States, sports fishermen find them to be great game fighters on light tackle.
